Recruiting can be one of the most exciting and stressful parts of being an athlete. It brings pressure, comparison, and uncertainty. Some days you feel on top of the world, and other days it feels like nothing is working. It is completely normal to feel both.

The most important thing is taking care of yourself through it all. Remember, it's just a game. You are more than your stats or highlight videos. You are a person who deserves rest, time with friends, and moments away from the game. When you take care of your mental health, your performance actually gets better.

Try to limit how much time you spend comparing yourself to others online. Seeing commitment posts can be inspiring, but it can also make you question your progress. Remember that everyone’s timeline looks different. Focus on your own growth and trust the work you are putting in.

When things feel heavy, talk about it. Whether it is with a parent, coach, or friend, sharing what you are feeling helps more than you think. Recruiting will come and go, but your mental health stays with you forever. Protect it and make it a priority.
